Our Commitment to People & Community

At Fairmont Singapore, hospitality extends beyond welcoming guests. It is about creating meaningful connections, supporting the communities around us and contributing to a more sustainable future.

In 2025, our colleagues, guests and partners come together in support of initiatives that create positive impact—from charitable partnerships and community outreach to environmental stewardship and sustainability education. These collective efforts reflect our commitment to making a meaningful difference, both within and beyond our hotel walls.

Ambulance Wish Singapore

One of our most significant and enduring partnerships is with Ambulance Wish Singapore, a charity dedicated to fulfilling the final wishes of terminally ill patients. Throughout 2025, Fairmont Singapore supported a series of fundraising initiatives that brought together guests, colleagues, artists and community partners in support of this meaningful cause.

Among these was our Mid-Autumn Festival fundraiser, which featured a limited-edition mooncake box designed by local illustrator Chris Chew. Inspired by iconic scenes of Singapore, the collaboration combined local artistry with philanthropy, with proceeds from sales supporting Ambulance Wish Singapore’s mission.

We also partnered with renowned mural artist Yip Yew Chong, who generously donated a painting for a charity auction. The initiative rallied guests, partners and supporters, demonstrating how creativity can be a powerful force for good.

The year concluded with our “Wish Upon a Christmas” campaign, which united guests, colleagues and community partners through festive fundraising activities, donation drives and charity teddy bear sales. Beyond raising funds, the initiative helped spread joy and hope during the holiday season.

Together, these initiatives raised close to SGD200,000, helping Ambulance Wish Singapore continue bringing comfort, dignity and meaningful moments to patients and their families.

The Green Wall

Figure 3 A living Green Wall welcomes guests at the driveway of Fairmont Singapore

The Fairmont Green Wall at our hotel entrance is more than a design feature — it is a daily, living expression of our commitment to urban biodiversity and greener city spaces. Every guest who arrives at our driveway sees it, every colleague who walks past it is reminded of what we stand for.

What made it truly special was the people behind it. Colleagues who had just joined the Fairmont family stood alongside heartists who have been here since 1989 — together, they placed the finishing plants symbolising continuity, collaboration and a shared commitment to sustainability.

Heartists in the Community

Beyond our anchor charity partnership, 2025 was shaped by quieter, equally meaningful acts of service — our colleagues choosing, across every quarter, to step outside the hotel and into their community.

On Earth Day, 23 of our colleagues partnered with Waterways Watch Society to clean the banks of Marina Reservoir and surrounding waterways. Together, they collected 30 kilograms of waste.

In March, colleagues came together in support of International Women’s Day through a donation drive for Star Shelter, a service of the Singapore Council of Women’s Organisations. A total of 144 essential household items were collected to support women rebuilding their lives.

During Global Wellness Week, colleagues partnered with TOUCH Community Services to prepare and personally deliver more than 40 warm meals to beneficiaries across Bukit Batok and neighbouring communities.

Our commitment to inclusivity was also reflected through our support of St Andrew’s Autism Centre. In October, Fairmont Singapore welcomed more than 1,200 participants through the “Walk of a Lifetime” initiative, providing our Atrium Ballroom as the official race pack collection venue and supporting efforts to raise awareness of autism within the community.

The year concluded with Accor’s Solidarity Week, where colleagues joined fellow Heartists in bringing festive cheer to seniors and beneficiaries from Central Singapore CDC, Moulmein-Cairnhill and Kampong Glam through a festive luncheon and community gathering.

While each initiative differed in scale and focus, they shared a common purpose: supporting the communities around us. Together, they reflect our belief that hospitality extends beyond our hotel walls and into the lives of the people we serve.

Aquaponics Farm

Figure 7 Aquaponics Farm at Fairmont Singapore continues to educate guests on urban farming

As the first urban aquaponics farm in Singapore’s hotel industry, it demonstrates how innovation can support more sustainable food systems. Beyond producing fresh ingredients, the farm has evolved into a platform for education and engagement. Each year, the farm welcomes students, hospitality professionals, government agencies, corporate partners and visitors from around the world. In 2025 alone, over 570 visitors came to the rooftop to see what sustainable hospitality looks like when a hotel truly commits to it.

Champion Of Good

At Fairmont Singapore, our CSR journey is driven by the belief that hospitality has the power to bring people together and create meaningful change. Whether supporting charitable causes, protecting the environment, strengthening communities or empowering colleagues to give back, each initiative reflects our commitment to making a positive impact beyond our hotel walls.

This commitment was recognised through several sustainability and community awards, including the prestigious Champion of Good recognition, one of Singapore’s highest honours for corporate purpose and societal impact. While we are honoured by these achievements, the true measure of success lies in the lives touched, communities supported and positive change created through the collective efforts of our colleagues, guests and partners. Together, we remain committed to creating a future where hospitality continues to be a force for good.
