The Story Behind Our 2026 Hari Raya Greeting Design

At Fairmont Singapore and Swissôtel The Stamford, our festive greeting cards often draw inspiration from the architecture of our twin hotels and the stories they represent. Following the Lunar New Year design earlier this year, our Hari Raya greeting continues a visual motif that reflects the identity of our buildings while celebrating the cultural significance of the season in Singapore.

Our Hari Raya greeting continues the balcony motif first introduced in our Lunar New Year designs, drawing inspiration from the distinctive façade of Fairmont Singapore and Swissôtel The Stamford. The repeating balcony pattern reflects the architectural identity of our twin hotels and the many windows that overlook the city, symbolising openness, connection and hospitality.

For the Hari Raya design, the balcony pattern is framed within a traditional Islamic arch, a form commonly seen in mosque architecture and Islamic art. This architectural silhouette references the beauty of these structures and the sense of reflection, gratitude and togetherness often associated with the festive season. The design also follows a visual tradition found in Islamic art, where graphics typically avoid the depiction of living figures and instead focus on geometry, patterns and architectural forms.

Warm gold tones were chosen to convey generosity, blessings and celebration. The subtle layering of the balcony motif continues to highlight the story of our buildings and the many moments shared within them.

By combining the iconic balconies of our hotels with the graceful arch of Islamic architecture, the design creates a meaningful bridge between our architectural identity and the cultural significance of Hari Raya in Singapore, celebrating community, renewal and the joy of gathering.
